Title: Cloud Walker
Description: It was the last morning in Lake Clark and we slowly trudged through the sticky mud to take photos of the bears clamming. We were tired and, honestly, a little bored of the cloudy skies we had for most of the week. But then, the sky opened just a bit and these pinks and blues started to light up the scene. We frantically clicked away and followed the bears to capture different angles. We only had a few minutes to capture the colors, and then it was gone.
This image was a Finalist in the Big Picture Photo Contest 2023, displayed in their exhibit in the California Academy of Science in San Fransisco, and used for their home page on their website; Top 250 in Share the View 2022; and Runner Up for Explorer's Against Extinction's Focus for Survival Photographer of the Year 2023 and in their 2024 calendar.
