Collection: Patagonian Wildlife Photography

I was fortunate enough to photograph the wild pumas of Patagonia, Chile in July 2023. To be on foot, in the wild, with an apex predator is always a humbling experience (with a professional guide). Although the encounters were incredible, it is not for the faint hearted. You must be physically fit to run up and down steep cliffs to get to the pumas. I dreamed of having a puma on a ridge with the Torres del Paine aglow in golden light, but alas it is not easy to catch up to the nimble felines on slippery boulders. Since I went in July, I was hoping to photograph a puma in the snow, which is very unusual. But weather is unpredictable, and I completely missed the snow – oh well,

I’ll just have to go back!

This way, I can HAND SIGN the prints and support the local economy instead of getting them printed in the UK, which my African Wildlife and Landscape photos were printed on before.
