Title: A Young Journey – Original

My Young Giraffe Encounter

One day in the African bush of Botswana, I was driving around searching for predators. Predators were my main priority since I was researching them, but I would never miss an opportunity to photograph other animals. It was baby season and I started to see baby giraffes popping up here and there! I thought to myself, “It would be great to get a photo of three baby, or young subadult, giraffes walking in a row.” Within a couple of days, my wish came true! However, the photo had distracting bushes in the background so I thought it would make a perfect excuse to paint the scene. Did you know a group of walking giraffes is called a “journey”? And a group of standing giraffes is called a “tower”?
