My Lion Encounter in Botswana:
While I was a predator researcher for an NGO in Botswana, I was fortunate to get to know the resident lion pride in the area. I found this female with a few of her comrades perched on a termite mound. They seemed very relaxed and enjoying the early morning air. This female turned her head to sniff the air, which showed how regal she was.
Lion symbolism and meaning include majesty, courage, strength, protection, family, wisdom, and other admirable traits. If a lion has made themselves known to you, whether in real life, art, or the media, it can be a sign that you need to step up and take the lead in a given situation. Following is always easier than leading – at least when leading is done well. Yet the noble lion should inspire you to lead. Stand tall and lead from the front, just as the greatest leaders throughout history have done.
