Title: A Young Journey - Limited Edition Reproduction Prints

My Young Giraffe Encounter

One day in the African bush of Botswana, I was driving around searching for predators. Predators were my main priority since I was researching them, but I would never miss an opportunity to photograph other animals. It was baby season and I started to see baby giraffes popping up here and there! I thought to myself, “It would be great to get a photo of three baby, or young subadult, giraffes walking in a row.” Within a couple of days, my wish came true! However, the photo had distracting bushes in the background so I thought it would make a perfect excuse to paint the scene. Did you know a group of walking giraffes is called a “journey”? And a group of standing giraffes is called a “tower”?

Beauty, kindness, calm, wisdom, patience and intuition are just some of the attributes of the spirit animal Giraffe. The giraffe is an elegant, refined animal that symbolizes gentleness and shares its grace and femininity with us. It is also the largest land mammal, and while its size may impress, its inner goodness is just as great. These animals are associated with magic or considered magical creatures in many cultures. The giraffe is very often represented spiritually as a kind of seer or oracle, a creature who could foresee things and see time and space.

*What is "Rolled/Loose Canvas"? - NOT wrapped or stretched over bars/wooden frame. It's just the canvas that can be rolled and shipped into a tube! This is a more affordable option and can be either framed like paper or stretched over bars!

**What is "Gallery Wrapped"? - AKA: canvas over bars, canvas stretched over bars, stretched canvas, mounted canvas - basically a normal canvas that is stretched over a wooden frame that you would find at an art store! This does not need to be framed.

In order to be more Ecofriendly and Sustainable, Limited Edition Reproduction Prints are made on Demand / Request to avoid waste as much as possible. This may delay your shipment a few extra days, but know that you are helping the planet by being environmentally friendly.
