I met this cheetah while I was conducting my Master’s Research in South Africa. This cheetah was just collard and we were tracking her movements in her new surroundings. One morning, she just glared us down – possibly wondering why we were following her all the time!
I met this lion during my first African trip to Zimbabwe – it was here that I fell in love with Africa. This female lion was staring into the distance, watching some gazelles grazing. The sun was illuminating her eyes to a beautiful color!
This leopard was something else. I met him during my time in Botswana when I was working for an NGO. He was only my second sighting of a leopard and he was just cruising on the tire tracks in the bush. We followed him for some time and he was completely chilled with us parking next to him as he laid down to rest.
My coworkers and I were driving back to camp in Botswana when we saw this caracal leap in front of us! I slammed on the breaks so hard that we almost went flying out of the car. The caracal was OK and went into the bush, but briefly looked behind him, toward us. I managed to get a shot.
